Due to developing carpal tunnel syndrome, updates are currently Monday every three weeks. I'll get back to updating every other week when I can.
I'd really like to make a page each week, but I also have health problems with my hands and as such am not fast enough art-wise to manage it. If you want to be notified when new pages are put up, you can also follow me on deviantart, twitter or tapastic.
A fan comic of Avatar the last airbender, about Kyoshi's discovery that she's the Avatar, and her first challenge: saving the earth kingdom from a war between Chin and the Earth king - something she's entirely not ready for.
A couple things I should mention: this comic is a place were I can simply experiment, have fun, and learn. Therefore, the style is probably going to be inconsistent. I also can't manage color all the time because of how long it takes, so color will be reserved for certain sections.
Also, Kyoshi might seem a little different than you would expect at the beginning of the story. That's on purpose. We know her as a powerful warrior, but I think that's probably not what she started out as, but rather what she became. This is the story of how that happens.
I forgot I can't use my ipad at a specific angle and accidentally aggravated my hand. I was behind my normal schedule already with my left wrist problem, and now my right hand as well. Sigh.
I'm hoping it won't take longer than a month to heal. In the meantime I'll post some sketches that I already have on deviantart and tumblr like character and costume designs (the links are in the sidebar on the left).
Sorry for the delay and I'll try to get back to work as quick as I can.
Take as long as you need
Focus on making sure that you're healthy and get your body back on the right track. I really do love this comic and I will wait as long as it takes to see what happens next. Something this good is worth waiting for. So no need to feel bad or apologize. Your health should be the top priority :) Take care and i hope your hands get better soon!!
@Sudarshan Mukherjee: Thanks. I know it's been quite a while since I've updated, but that's because my hand still hasn't healed. I don't want to just cancel the comic because I want to resume work on it eventually, but I don't know when I'll be able to. I kneep on accidentally reaggravating my hand because tendons are crazy fragile when healing, as one doctor put it, about the consistency of jello.
I just don't know what to do, so for now I'm leaving it uncanceled so if my hand ever heals I still have the possibility of continuing it.
In the meantime, I'm working on a novel since I have a way to write without using my hands. I'll post about it here and on my various social media sites when it's complete (it's currently over halfway done).
Posting more than a year after your injury but wanted to say I just discovered this story and I really enjoyed it. I hope you can keep updating but don't rush yourself, your health is definetly more important.
Anyway, really good story, thank you for it and hope you get better soon.
